THE CHALLENGE

Excavation for the rehabilitation of the downstream side of the dam with the deepest subgrade 138 ft. below the normal pool of the lake.

THE SOLUTION

Griffin provided expertise and oversight for the design and installation of an eductor system, wellpoint system, and sumping system for the deep excavation at the toe of dam.

58 eductor wells were installed to obtain the required drawdown and allow for construction of a safe and stable excavation.
